Tire
Barnesville, GA
In
1999 and 2000, Jim Nester and Denver Banks sold two (2) Geotherm®
RTOoxidizers at General Tire in Barnesville, GA. These 18,000 CFM
systems are handling all exhausts VOC and non- condensable resinous
compounds. The Barnesville facility is a manufacturer of tire chord.
Geoenergy was selected for these systems because of its long history
and broad knowledge in handling VOC and particulate exhaust products.
The tire chord industry utilizes RTO systems as their MACTstandard.
Geoenergy has captured 85% market share in this industry. This success
story is the result of a team effort in this industry.
Bekaert
Rome, GA
In
the early 1980's, Bekaert Corporation (Rome, GA) had in- ground
sumps lined with PVC (T- Lock). The adhesive seams developed cracking
and subsequent leaks. In these sumps, their entire plating waste
and washdown water / chemicals were collected prior to treatment.
Prior to , we fabricated two (2) each 20 foot diameter Celmar (polypropylene)
FRP vessels. Pictured herein are the vessels during installation.
These vessels are still in service today and have had no maintenance
in over seventeen years. These vessels have floated on a few occasions,
but maintenance has been zero. This case history is a testimonial
to proper material selection, a willing customer and a good fabrication
job. During the Fourth of July 1997, we lined a large in- ground
sump with HDPE (double containment with leak detection).

Single Meets Double
Past
successes yield new and future successes at a Southeast coast paper
mill when trenches and process sumps dump waste by- product into
a largewaste treatment collection sump. Six small waste collection
sumps measuring 2'6 x 14' 0 x 1' 6 deep were lined
with 5mm thick polypropylene whichwere tied into a 97' 0 long
polypropylene trench measuring 12 wide. This trench carried
the waste from each small collection sump to the large Double Containment
waste treatment collection sump for final processing and treatment.
